There are many ways to find a specific sermon or series:
To download an audio sermon and save it on a computer, right click on the button from any sermon or series page and select "Save Link As" or "Save Target As." A browser box may open that asks where the file should be saved. If a browser box does not appear, the browser is likely set to automatically download files into a folder titled "Downloads," usually found in the "Documents" folder on a Windows-based computer or under "Home" on a Mac.
Audio files are in an MP3 format and can be played in a media player such as iTunes or Windows Media Player.
To download a video and save it on a computer, click on the button from any sermon or series page. When the Vimeo box loads with the video, click "Vimeo" in the bottom, right-hand corner. The video will load in a page on the Vimeo web site. Click the "Download" button. It will take several minutes to load. Right click on a file type and size and select "Save Link As" or "Save Target As" to download that file. A browser box may open that asks what the file name should be and where the file should be saved. If a browser box does not appear, the browser is likely set to automatically download files into a folder titled "Downloads," usually found in the "Documents" folder on a Windows-based computer or under "Home" on a Mac.
Video files can be played in a media player such as QuickTime or Windows Media Player.
To download a sermon's notes and save it on a computer, right click on the button from any sermon or series page and select "Save Link As" or "Save Target As." A browser box may open that asks where the file should be saved. Notes files are in an PDF format and can be viewed in Adobe Acrobat Reader, available for free here.
Some sermons or videos take time to load, depending on length. If you have given the file plenty of time and it still does not play, the problem is likely related to your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) The most common reason for audio or video not playing is a problem with the browser's plugin (ActiveX, Flash Player, etc.). Try updating your browser and its plugins. If that does not help, try using another browser.
Volume can be adjusted in two places when listening to audio on a computer. Both the volume of the computer's speakers and the volume of the audio player can affect the volume of the audio sermon. If both volume settings are turned up and the volume is still too low, there may be an issue with the audio file. Please use the report an issue form to let us know.
A podcast is a digital list of audio files that can be subscribed to and automatically downloaded. An RSS feed is essentially the same as a podcast, except that an RSS feed can also contain text or videos. A podcast can be accessed and subscribed to through an audio feed reader, like iTunes.
To subscribe in iTunes, click the link provided on the podcasts page. Click "View in iTunes." iTunes will then load the page for the podcast. Click "Subscribe Free," then "Subscribe" in the confirmation box that appears. The podcast can now be found under "Podcasts" in the iTunes Library.
The newest sermon is usually available the next day or sooner. Occassionally, it might take longer to post a sermon online. If it has been several days since the sermon was given, follow these instructions:
If the sermon is still missing after checking each of these potential issues, use the report an issue form to let us know.
Download the audio file or podcast (see the other answers on this page for instructions). Open iTunes and plug in your device. Either sync the device to iTunes, which will replace the content on the device with the iTunes content, or drag the file onto the device name below "Devices" on the left-hand side of the screen. For more help, see iTunes Help.
In most cases, the audio file downloaded from the site will need to changed into a WAV file format. Some CD players will read a disc with MP3 files, but most do not. To convert the file into a WAV format, software will be required, such as iTunes.
To burn an audio CD in iTunes, first create a playlist of the files to be burned to CD. Right click on the playlist name and select "Burn Playlist to Disc." For more help, see iTunes Help.
For all weekend services, the audio available is from Sunday at 11 a.m. This is the same sermon given on Saturday night of that weekend. For consistency, we always use the Sunday date for sermons. To order a CD of a Saturday night or other service time, visit the Media and Events Center.
